Tuesday, July 13th & Wednesday, July 14th (with Thursday July 15th as the rain date)

There will be lots of entertainment and fun as well as the Evangeline Farmer's Market and great deals from the downtown businesses. Downtown Summerside Inc. Revitalization will be giving away $1000.00 in "Downtown Money" on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. The draw will be made by Mayor Basil Stewart. We will also be celebrating the 400th Anniversary of the Acadian settlers in Canada and will be featuring many Acadian performers as well as lots of other entertainment for the whole family including Inflatable Bouncers for the kids, special appearances by Ronald MacDonald and lots other of musical performances.

Downtown Phase 1

Let's get excited! Our new Downtown Revitalization is starting to take shape. We will be seeing new asphalt, lights, trees and rod iron rails which were made locally by Malpeque Fine Iron Products. The water and sewer are also being changed to replace the 100 year old pipes, samples of which can be seen in the Downtown office.

Confederation Trail will soon be asphalted from the P.E.I. Bag Company West to Burger King East. There are now lights, benches and banners along the trail and we should soon be seeing trees, flowers and shrubs as well so keep your eyes on the trail!

Downtown Summerside Inc. is selling Golf Shirts for $30.00 (tax included) featuring the Downtown logo. Shirts can be ordered from the Downtown office.
